I deal with these kind of animals a lot where I live. If it is socialized enough to run up to you, it probably used to be somebody's pet. It was abandoned or abused and now it is on it's own. Please do take it to the vet and get it shots, dewormed, flea treatment and most importantly, get it fixed. Alley Cat Allies is a national group that might be able to help with low cost options. Those cats have a lot of love to give, please give it a chance. Thank you for caring.
Reply:pu up some posters saying found lost pet. if nobody resspons

it yours!
Reply:take it home,i dont think the owner will be worried by it going missing.
Reply:Ooh it wants to come and live with you take it in.
Reply:I would take it to the vet and if it is chipped he will be able to tell you who is the owner (they obviously don't deserve the cat or it would not be in that sort of state) and then if it is okay with the vet I would take it with you and give it a good home.
Reply:Take it to the vet, they can check if it's been chipped or not, get it treated for it's various complaints and maybe stick up a poster or two to say you found it, then give it a good home that it deserves. Poor thing!
Reply:i would catch it and take it to the vet. First off if someone owns it and it has worms and a skin condition they are not fit pet owners, so you should take the cat and second the cat can die. So i recommend taking it to the vet, getting it well again and then keeping it.
Reply:You could take it to a animal home where they will treat it and put a notice up saying cat found, and if not claimed by owner ask the home if you can keep the animal. Otherwise if you just take it in it might be someones lost pet.
Reply:take it home he obviously likes you and trusts you, take it to the vets to have it checked over, its gonna be winter soon and at least if you take him in he wont get cold and hungry.
Reply:If the cat runs up to you when it hears your car then it knows you are the one that is going to save its life. Don't ignore this. You will have a feline friend for life. Cats have a way of picking people they feel safe with. Sounds like it thinks your a good one.

If you haven't done so already start putting out some food and fresh water for it each day. Soft foods at first.
Reply:Poor thing, yes, I would definitely take it to the vet, then feed it up, and if it wanted to stay, I would let it stay.
Reply:You have been feeding a stray cat and now you'll have to take it to the vet to be dewormed.
Reply:Well, I'd be very tempted to take him home. If he is someone's pet they obviously don't seem to care at all for the cat. If you do decide to treat him and advertise that you've found him and his owners come forward, make sure you get all the money back that you paid for any treatment before you hand the cat over.
Reply:Take it in if it will come, but you could also mix a dose of wormer with some food and leave it out for it,
Reply:I would phone the RSPCA, they will advise you what to do. It probably doesn't have a home, if it does it should still have treatment.

I think he's chosen his pet!
