Help! How to get rid of eczema and psoriasis?

I have a terrible skin condition - eczema and psoriasis. Different patches are all over my face, arms and legs!

Can anyone help me?

Help! How to get rid of eczema and psoriasis?
Definitely see a dermatologist for best treatment. My boyfriend also suffers with eczema and he's found relief with the topical cream "Elidel" (available by prescription). Also, I've recently bought him Eucerin Calming Creme, which he applies right after he gets out of the shower. This has helped too. Remember, always avoid unprotected sun exposure, very hot showers, soaps, and fragrances--as these will aggrevate the problem futher. Try to wear 100% cotton as often as possible, as this will let the skin breathe. Maybe even try a humidifier in dry or cold weather, which will help with dry skin.

Reply:As a sufferer I regret to tell you that psoriasis is incurable. Best you can hope for is some form of relief. Stay away from commercial soaps etc.Try Yahoo medical on the web .
Reply:See a doctor, there are many ways to help people with this condition.
Reply:,I've suffered from psoriasis for the past twenty years now. Have been prescribed topical creams and ointments known to man kind. Unfortunately, there's nothing really over the counter that will really work. You'll have to go to the dermatologist to get before it really gets out of control. At one point and time my body was 85% covered, talk about pure out right misery..lol...I now give myself injections once a week to keep it under control. It's called Raptiva, and thus far it's under control. Please, go to the doctor before it gets worse. Try going to the tanning bed, or lay out in the sun between the hours of 10am-12pm, when the sun isn't the strongest, because if you burn, it'll cause a flare up. Also, try soaking in Upsome Salt before going to bed. It'll dehydrate your skin, so make sure you moisturize after bathing with vaseline, which will keep the patches on you legs from drying out and cracking, which is painfull. Hopfully I've given some insight. I can't stress enough though that you have to go to the dermatologist before it gets any worse...good luck!!..one more thing, try taking some benadryhl before going to bed to help with the itch.
Reply:I have psoriasis on my legs and scalp. I had my first ever flair up 3 years ago. After trying so many creams and after alot of money I decided to hire a home solarium. I used it 10 minutes each side a day and in about 3 weeks not only was I very nice and brown, but my psoriasis was cleared! I know that you can never get rid of it but this works really well! So every time I get a flare up, I just re hire it. Hope this helps and good luck.

PSORIASIS IS AVOIDABLE

Psoriasis Is definitely an Autoimmune system failure, your body is telling you that's it simply cannot cope with what you are feeding it. I doubt whether l will ever meet a psoriasis sufferer whom isn't a celiac (intolerant to gluten). But there can be many other reasons why your immune system is not coping. There's no mystery as to the psoriasis itself Acrylamide (which is created when high temperatures between the amino acid "asparagine" and the sugar glucose especially in foods such as french fries, potato chips, bakery and cereal products), does play a role in psoriasis as do the food addictives (citrics). By eliminating these from your diet your psoriasis will clear up. This has been validated time and time again.

By using a tissue plasminogen activator it is possible to analyse the difference in normal and (psoriasis) pathological skin samples. The difference is a high calcium medium is found in pathological skin samples, in normal skin samples very little calcium is found in comparison.

This indeed makes sense as the most common sites of psoriasis especially plague psoriasis (the most common form of psoriasis) are of local trauma sites

This is also known as the “Koebner phenomenon

A BALANCE DIET IS THE KEY TO MANY HEALTH BENEFITS.

Natural whole foods have a package of nutrients and many beneficial factors that are not found in supplements. You won't find the essential elements in calcium ascorbate (VC) as you would in a real orange. An orange contains Vitamin C. with carotene, calcium, folate and fibre. There are other reasons for getting our nutrients from foods than supplements. There is no evidence that taking supplements can give you the same protection. Vitamin supplements to be avoided, especially Ascorbic Acid-Vitamin C (Food Additive Code 300) and Calcium Ascorbate (Food Additive Code E302).

Natural foods give you components that increase nutrient absorption in the body.

Supplements can reduce absorption of other nutrients

What many people don't realise is the nature of acrylamide is to bind and is responsible for the formation of Psoriasis.
