Please tell me what you think?

I have a skin condition, I cant wear Jewelery or rings, I cant wear my wedding rings because I get a bad rash.Do you think God would approve of a wedding ring tattoo on my ring finger? Did God say anything about tattoo's in the Bible?

Reply:It says in the OLD TESTAMENT that you shouldn't mark your skin FOR THE DEAD.





It is not a prohibition against all tattoos, just ones that have something to do with pagan rituals.





I never thought of a wedding ring tattoo before. That sounds pretty cool. :-)

Anything anyone quotes against making marks on your body here, know that the context they are quoting it in (Leviticus) was written so that one does not make marks on their body as it is talking about pagan worship.





The Bible clearly says...do not make tattoo marks on your body toward pagans. I see nothing wrong with you getting a tattoo. Especially something as small and minute as a wedding ring.





I am a very conservative Christian who personally will never have a tattoo (just because I hate needles and I am so fickle that I would probably one day hate my tattoo), but with the Bible as the authority...no, it is not wrong.

1) Make sure what you say it true (real or costume?)


2) talk to your pastor


3) a tattoo on your ring finger will not look like a wedding ring....it'll look like a tattoo of a statement of some kind. You will be asked over %26amp; over what is that and people will start thinking things and some may stumble.

Reply:Most Christians believe that their body is their temple and getting tatoos falls under defiling thier temple, even if the tatoo means something to you. Me personally I feel that if they tatoo you are getting (like you said you want to get a wedding band tatoo) means something to you and is a representation of part of who you are (wedding band meaning you're a wife) then you should get it. It is not "defiling your temple" it is a decoration that means alot to you and is part of you.
