What might cause super-intense itching INSIDE my feet and hands, with no rash at all?

It's been going on for months, and usually occurs at night. Cortisone cream provides some relief, but not much. It doesn't seem to be a skin condition, though, as there is no peeling, flaking, bumps, etc.

What might cause super-intense itching INSIDE my feet and hands, with no rash at all?
Sounds to me like either a nerve or circulation issue. Please see your doctor.

Reply:I have that from time to time.. If it is somewhat severe, I take an allergy tablet and it goes away almost immediately

Reply:could be some neuropathy pain, in which there is some nerve damage causing the itching. it also could be the start of eczema - even though there is no rash or skin peeling, eczema often manifests itself at first without any of these things, and the itching is horrible. i would go check with a dermatologist and describe your symptoms and if the dermatologist cant help you then maybe go see an internist (who specializes in internal medicine) and see if they can help you.
Reply:you may just be ashy all the time, and it may be use to that ashyness.........no offense....don't take it personally.....that is just my guess.

Reply:It happens to me just in the summer time. I suspect it's heat rash or something like that. It is always itchy between the toes and under the feet and on my palms. Sorry, I don't know how to cure it myself! Good luck.
Reply:i don't mean to freak you out but one of the few symptoms of kidney disease is itchiness...the others are high blood pressure (above 120/80) and fatigue...it's one of those diseases that have vitually no symptoms.


I would speak to a doctor. Itchiness can be related to something stupid, but it could also be related to something more serious that you're not aware of.

Reply:I bet you have scabies. I picked it up once from a houseguest and that's exactly how it felt...hands itched (mostly between fingers), and it was worse at night. Go to the doctor so you can get a pesticide to put on you and anyone you live with. Also, you will have to wash ALL of your clothes, bedding, etc. to get rid of the bugs/eggs. It's a total pain in the a**. Good Luck.
Reply:i have a nerve disorder and i use to do that also......or it could be an alergic reaction to somthing also........try benydryl tablets.....it could make you sleepy though....i take a pescription for it now.any antihystamin will work for ya.
Reply:I get that foot thing, too! I put some Gold Bond lotion on, and it stops. Maybe you're allergic to your laundry detergent that you wash the sheets in??
