Ok, I have never had any really bad acne or skin condition but all of the sudden I am getting red blotches all over my chest...what are they?? and should i be worried??? they are kinda itchy as well.

Sounds like shingles. I had this problem several years ago and they were very itchy for me. Get some calamine lotion and apply it to the blotches. Also, try to relax. Shingles can be caused by stress.

Reply:It could be shingles as the previous reader stated, but it can also be other conditions as well. I had a simlar issue and it turned out to be tinea corporis, or fungal vitiligo. The spots appear red, flat at first and then become slightly raised. If you get a tan the spots remain lighter than the tanned skin around the spots. They itched a little as well. I was given a heavy-duty antifungal cream, Nizoral 12% to fix it. They have over the counter Nizoral now, but it is not as strong.
I would go to your doctor and find out what it is before getting treated. I don't think that it is anything really serious that you should be afraid to see your doctor about. Just go in and get it treated.
